Information Manufacturing Corporation Receives Prestigious Cogswell Award for Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement

FAIRFAX, VA, July 24, 2007 - Information Manufacturing Corporation (IMC), a leading innovator in knowledge management services, announced that it has received a 2007 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award, the most prestigious honor the Defense Security Service may bestow on a cleared facility.

The Cogswell award was given to only 30 out of 12,000 cleared Department of Defense contractors. The nomination is based on a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in the overall security program management, implementation, and oversight.

The award was given based on projects at IMC's Rocket Center, WV location. Their new Fairfax, VA headquarters was not eligible for the award as it has not been in existence for the required two years to receive security review ratings.

"I am pleased that we have been recognized with this important award," said IMC's Chief Executive Officer Rob Hytner. "IMC will strive to uphold the government's confidence in our ability to manage our critical security infrastructure."

The Cogswell award was established in 1966 and is named after the late Col. James S. Cogswell, the first chief of the unified office of industrial security within the Department of Defense. He was responsible for developing the basic principles of the Industrial Security Program.
