A 20 Mile Move Brings IMC More Space, More Opportunities
FAIRFAX, VA, June 13, 2008 - On June 13, the nearly 20 employees of Information Manufacturing's Morgantown, WV office started their first day at the 120,000 sq. ft. Alan B. Mollohan Innovation Center in Fairmont, WV. This facility is part of the I-79 Technology Park developed by the West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC) Foundation.
Located about 20 miles south of Morgantown, WV at the heart of the I-79 Corridor, the Technology Park is a prime business site that provides close proximity to some of the largest names in technology opportunities and federal projects; such as the FBI biometrics facility, the NASA Independent Verification & Validation Facility, and the National White Collar Crime Center's Internet Fraud Complaint Center.
"The I-79 Technology Park is an ideal location for IMC," said Ken Tressler, Chief Operations Officer. "Being in Fairmont gives us access to a large pool of highly technical recruits that are crucial to supporting our aggressive growth plans."
"Also, our area of the building is significantly larger than our old Morgantown office with plenty of room to grow," he added.
This increase in size means more areas to grow for IMC's database development, programming, and GIS conversion work. As current work continues for AFIP, FEMA, NOAA, and NAVSEA and new contracts are won, the extra space gives IMC additional options for innovative solutions in support of our clients needs, such as classified and data center operations.
"We are very pleased to have IMC in the I-79 Technology Park," said James L. Estep, President and Chief Executive Officer of the WVHTC Foundation. "They have a long record of demonstrated success, and we look forward to their continued success in our region."
The I-79 Technology Park is an ongoing project of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation started in 1990 by Congressman Mollohan and has over 100 company members.
Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, NISC is a company dedicated to providing innovative information technology, information management and management technology consulting services/solutions in support of the national interest and security to the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense and to the Homeland Security, Energy, Federal Health, and other critical federal civilian sectors.
